Genesis 1-- God created everything, fully revealing and expressing Himself, and then placed man right down in the midst of that God-expression. Everything that man experienced, from sight to sounds to feelings about his surroundings, was an experience of knowing God.
When our eyes become open, every experience that we have is a "with-God" experience. We are, at all times, immersed in God, surrounded by God, inundated with His communication of Who He Is. He is everywhere and in everything.
Even as we gain mastery over our God-expressed world, we are interacting with God--if we can see it. We are partnering with Him. We are interacting with who He is.
In chapter 2, mankind's experience with God deepens as He invites Adam and Eve into intimacy with Him.
Again, as we experience human relationships we are interacting with God-created intimacy and thus experiencing the deep parts of God Himself.
Only our blindness (and sin) keeps us from recognizing that we are immersed in God at all times. We are completely surrounded and part of His glory, beauty, wonder, love, majesty, awesomeness... We live within this context every moment. God grant us the ability to see!
